Well, its official the best April ever and the worst May ever. Apparently we're in for a month of rain. So umbrella sales and Wellington boot sales will be on the up. On the subject of Wellington boots I hear that the Badminton Show has been cancelled and with the North Somerset Show and the Royal Bath and West Show only around the corner fun times ahead! With the Queen in Somerset this month we really are becoming quite royal with all our celebrities that visit our fine city and surrounding areas.This month the team has turned its attention to local attractions, with some much choice on our doorstep, there's never been a better time to get out there and experience the delights for yourself, and with the school and bank holidays looming take advantage of our in depth guide and treat your loved ones to at least one day to remember. However, it's not just the animal parks, caves or zoos that I'm talking about; we explore the hidden treasures in our city with a spotlight on Portishead with a lovely harbour to visit and a great town with hidden gems for shops and some great eateries to enjoy.With so much happening and so many festivals on our Harbourside at Bristol this month we couldn't stop, there are our May issue features, some of our usual mouth watering recipes and a guide to good food pubs and restaurants in our city and surrounding countryside.
